Jay Schmetz is an artist who along with his wife, Presently a Veterinary Student have an animal sanctuary with rescued pot belly pigs and Dogs. We also have some sheep and a few cats. My pets are my inspiration behind my work. I see them all as individuals with differing personalities and emotions just as people have.
I am often asked about my work and i tell people that i humanize animals and animalize humans. I love to make people smile with my work.
I Graduated with a masters In painting From the Savannah College of Art and Design. And have sold original oils of my Animal Paintings Worldwide.
